| November 19, 2007 •» The law firm of Kious & Rodgers is pleased to announce that Michelle Bennett has joined the firm as the new Office Manager. Michelle is a Certified Municipal City Court Clerk and a previous City Recorder. She managed a doctor's office and an investment firm in Nashville. She and her family moved to the area in 1997. She has two children and is married to Mike Bennett, Sr. |  |
May 14, 2007 •» The law firm of Kious & Rodgers is pleased to announce that David "Brock" East has joined the firm as an associate attorney. East is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee where he majored in biochemistry and was a University Honors Scholar. He received his law degree from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2005. He comes to Kious & Rodgers from the Memphis law firm of Glassman, Edwards, Wade & Wyatt, P.C. East is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Arkansas. His areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance, corporate, commercial and professional malpractice litigation, wills and contracts. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association as well as the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. He is married to Jenny Peterson East.
April 10, 2007 •» KIOUS & RODGERS BUSINESS AFTER HOURS FISH FRY - Kious & Rodgers was the proud host of the Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours held on April 10, 2007. Those attending enjoyed Dr. Andy Brown's famous catfish while entertained by Dr. Jim Rungee's bluegrass band, The Swinging Bandits. We would like to thank all who attended for helping make the first annual Kious & Rodgers Fish Fry such a sucess, as well as the Chamber of Commerce for extending us the privilege of hosting this event. August 3, 2006 •» RODGERS RE-ELECTED TO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS - John W. Rodgers was elected to a second term on the Rutherford County Board of Commissioners in the county general election on August 3, 2006. The Rutherford County Commission is the legislative body for Rutherford County and is made up of 21 members elected from districts for four year terms. Rodgers was unopposed in his bid for the 14th District seat. In his first term, Rodgers served on the Legislative and Steering, Health and Education and Property Management Committees. He recently completed 15 years of law practice and specializes in personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance, corporate and commercial litigation, business formation, wills and contracts.
June 8, 2006 •» HOLDER COMPLETES LEADERSHIP RUTHERFORD - Chris Holder recently completed the Leadership Rutherford program sponsored by the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. Leadership Rutherford is a personal development program designed to identify potential and existing leaders in business, government, and the community and to provide these leaders with a practical and sophisticated understanding of major problems and opportunities facing the Rutherford County area. Participants explore controversial issues with leaders representing a broad range of community interests including business and economic development, state and local government, industry and agriculture. Chris is a third year associate with the firm. His practice areas include contracts, wills and estates, insurance defense, business litigation, and real estate.
January 1, 2006 •» Kious & Rodgers is pleased to announce that on January 1, 2006, James P. "Jay" Barger was named a partner in the firm. Jay has been an associate with the firm since 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1998 and his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 2001. His areas of practice include insurance defense, worker's compensation, divorce, child custody, wills and estates. Mr. Barger is a member of both the Rutherford County and Tennessee Bar Associations, he is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Rutherford and regularly teaches legal writing at Middle Tennessee State University.
